Here in the UK, canicross is absolutely booming, and for good reason. It’s fantastic for getting fit, for both you and your furry friend, burning off that endless canine energy, and exploring some truly cracking trails. 04. Maverick Exposure Lights Dark Surrey 2022 – Race Report

Only seems like yesterday we were last in the Surrey Hills with Maverick Races for part of their night series at the end of the pandemic lockdowns in 2021 as life slowly started getting back to a new normal. Having moved this year to a new location it was with anticipation we arrived in the lovely village of Chilworth ready to take on the middle distance (11km).

I wanted to jot a few lines to reflect on the last 12 months not just in context of Canicross Routes but also myself and my running journey which feels quite self indulgent let alone I suspect slightly less interesting for anyone who passes by but it does offer up I guess an insight to my drivers for the site as well as celebrating what I consider to have been a great year.

02. Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge – Half Marathon Race Report

For my sins I try to run a half marathon each year and 2017 being no different though now running with my pooch this seemed to be a great one to try and raise a little money for the Challengers charity  . The event I choose was the Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge in the exceptionally picturesque grounds of Loseley Park in Guildford.
